1. Who we are and accepting these terms
TradeDocs is operated by Mizzen Studios ("Mizzen Studios", "we", "us" or "our"). You can contact us at support@json-translate.com.
By using TradeDocs, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you use TradeDocs for a business or organisation, you confirm that you have authority to accept these terms for it. You must be at least 18 years old or otherwise able to enter a binding contract.
2. The service
TradeDocs is a browser-based tool for creating UK quotes, invoices and receipts and downloading them as PDFs. It includes editable templates, GBP totals, optional VAT calculations, quote-to-invoice conversion and local browser storage.
TradeDocs is an administrative tool, not accounting, tax or legal advice. You are responsible for checking that every document is accurate, complete, legally compliant and suitable for your circumstances before issuing it.
TradeDocs does not submit VAT returns, collect debts, send documents, maintain an accounting ledger or verify your customer, bank, tax or company details. Generated numbers are editable and are not a central or guaranteed sequential numbering system.
3. Your documents and local data
You retain ownership of the business details, customer details, logos, line items, notes and documents you enter or create. You give us no licence to that content because the generator processes it locally in your browser and does not upload it to us.
You are responsible for lawful use of personal data, protecting bank details, keeping any backups you need, and deciding how generated PDFs are stored or shared. Browser storage can be lost when you clear site data, use private browsing, change browsers or devices, or uninstall software. We do not provide cloud backup or account synchronisation.
4. Free and Pro plans
The free plan permits use of the core generator and applies a TradeDocs watermark to downloaded PDFs. Pro features may include watermark removal, a custom logo and colour, saved clients and other features shown at checkout.
Current prices and billing periods are displayed before purchase. Stripe processes payments. A one-time or "lifetime" purchase means access for the operational life of the applicable TradeDocs service; it is not a promise that the service or every feature will exist indefinitely. Monthly plans renew automatically until cancelled.
You may cancel a renewing plan before the next billing date using any cancellation method we make available or by contacting us. Cancellation stops future renewals and access continues for the paid period. Except where required by law or expressly stated, charges already paid are not refundable. Nothing in these terms limits statutory cancellation, refund or consumer rights.
Pro status is verified using the Stripe checkout session and stored in the browser. If local data is cleared or the service cannot verify the payment, you may need the successful checkout link or help from support to restore access.
5. Acceptable use
You must not use TradeDocs to:
- create fraudulent, misleading, unlawful or infringing documents;
- process personal data without an appropriate lawful basis;
- probe, disrupt, overload or bypass the security or payment controls of the service;
- introduce malware, automate abusive traffic, or reverse engineer protected service components except where law permits; or
- resell or misrepresent TradeDocs as your own hosted service without written permission.
We may restrict access where reasonably necessary to protect users, the service, payment systems or the law.
6. Intellectual property
TradeDocs software, branding, design, copy and templates are owned by Mizzen Studios or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property law. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, revocable right to use the service and generated documents for lawful personal or business purposes. This does not transfer ownership of the service itself.
7. Availability and changes
We aim to keep TradeDocs available and useful, but do not guarantee uninterrupted, secure or error-free operation. We may maintain, change, suspend or discontinue features. We will take reasonable steps to avoid materially reducing a paid service without notice where practical.
Third-party services such as Stripe, Google Analytics, hosting platforms and browser PDF or storage capabilities may affect availability and are governed by their own terms.
8. Disclaimers and liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, TradeDocs is provided "as is" and we exclude implied warranties that may lawfully be excluded. We are not responsible for losses caused by inaccurate user input, failure to review a document, loss of local browser data, how a document is shared, or reliance on TradeDocs as professional advice.
Where liability cannot be excluded, our aggregate liability relating to the service is limited to the greater of £100 and the amount you paid us for TradeDocs in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, revenue, business, goodwill or data where such exclusion is lawful.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any liability or consumer right that cannot legally be excluded.
9. Ending use
You may stop using TradeDocs at any time and can remove locally stored data through your browser settings. We may suspend or end access for a serious or repeated breach, unlawful use, security risk or non-payment, acting reasonably. Clauses intended to survive termination, including intellectual property, liability and governing law, will continue.
10. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction, except that a consumer living elsewhere in the UK may bring proceedings in their home courts and retains any mandatory protections of their local law.

11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms to reflect service, legal or operational changes. We will publish the new effective date here. Material changes affecting a paid plan will be communicated in a reasonable way where we have the information and means to do so. Continued use after an update means the revised terms apply to subsequent use.
